How did you come up with your Etsy name?
~~I came up with my Etsy name because it is also the name of my wedding photography business, www.capturedmomentsbyamyleigh.com. I enjoy capturing the moments of peoples’ special events and that is why I chose that name. On a side note, my two children’s names begin with C (Carter) and M (Makayla) so that makes it even closer to my heart.
Is your Etsy your full time job or do you have a “day job”? If so what is your “day job”?
~~Up until 2 months ago, I worked in an architectural and interior design firm and as my shop prospered, I was able to quit my day job, to focus my time and creativity on doing what I love.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
~~My inspiration comes from my customers. They have something in mind that is special to their event, and I enjoy bringing their ideas to fruition. I am also inspired by the beauty of nature and Amy Butler and Michael Miller fabrics ( Oh how I wish I could sew!!).
Do you do any sort of crafty stuff outside of what you sell on Etsy?
~~In my spare time (not that I have much) I enjoy scrapbooking and photography and some nights I can be found sculpting with playdough with my children who are 4 and 2.

Is your workspace messy or organized?
~~As I am now a stay at home mom, my office is kid friendly, with toys and crayons scattered about.
What’s been your biggest accomplishment so far?
~~In life in general, my biggest and best accomplishment is my 2 beautiful children. But with regard to the business, I have 3 milestones that I have celebrated so far. Being featured on the front page of Etsy, hitting 1000 sales and quitting my day job.
What’s your personal favorite out of all the items on your site?
~~If I really had to pick one special design at this moment, it would have to be the vintage fire fighter invitation that I recently created for a special customer because the creation and design was so much fun. Honestly, it would be impossible for me to pick just one, because everything I create feels like I’m sharing a little piece of my soul.
